As letters or words, the phallus has a metaphorical ability that is almost unconscious. When we open our eyes to the world, we look at things, landscapes, shapes but not when we see words and letters or symbols. These have the power to make us think immediately. When we look at a wall on a street and it has a graffiti, and this graffiti has letters, several letters that form words, we don't just look at them but we read them immediately. And these words once read, even if we don't want to read them, are instantly translated into mental images, they have meaning. My work explores the possibility of the phallus as an ideogram, instead of being the symbolic double for the penis and representing androcentrism, it becomes a symbol that potenciates the the ability to apprehend new ideas.
